I have seen ocasions when having not enough power can hurt more then having too much power..... At our new track having the extra power allows a person more time to square up and still have enough speed to clear the obstacles... With my 25 I was having an easier time then I was with a .21.....several others at my track have also found the same thing.... Rcfoxhound ran much faster with his OS28 then he did with his XZB 21.... with the .21 we have to carry a pile of corner speed to be able to clear the jumps, with the bigger engines we can corner slower and still have the scoot to clear the jumps....

here is out track

It's just funny how everyone wants to go to war about how a .21 is the "perfect" size/power engine for a truggy...but at the same time these same people run the same .21 in a buggy which by their own understanding would be way overpowered. Personally, I feel that a .21 in a buggy is to a .24/.25 in a truggy as for power to weight ratio.

BTW: Yes I do feel feel like a .25 is a little much for a truggy but at the same time I also think a .21 is also too much for a buggy...but you'll never catch me putting an .18 in it!!! How about you?

Not all .21's are created equal. Some suit a buggy and some suit a truggy. Look at the Werks B5/B6. Although some run the B5 in a buggy, the B5 is truggy orientated and the B6 more suited to buggy.

Thats the 21 in you talking! See how the 21 mentality runs out of steam and starts falling off just when the 25 mentality is just getting warmed up and starting to grow wings

I like huge bottom in my truggy, To me I think the Argus and the B5 are Great for truggy, They both have loads of bottom, more than most other .21's out there. I dont like to clutch up and run 1.1's I dont like the way it feels with these 2 engines they rip with a normal 1.0 setup which I like the feel of better than running stiffer springs, but on some .21's you have to to get the bottom snap.

BUt its all about what you like, some guys like the less botttom:smoother" engines, some like the ABundance of torque form .28's but I think the B5 and Argus are feel more like a .23 on the bottom end. So great choice for when a typical .21 isnt quite enough
