Got some old fuel you won't run? Wet a cloth with it and get the pipe / header wet. Wrap the wet cloth around it and let it set a few minutes. Fuel put it on there, fuel can take it off. it will take a little rubbing.

A small crock pot, purchased cheaply, with some good old timey straight ethylene glycol antifreeze works wonders on LOW. Turning it on high can discolorer some pipes. Just leave the antifreeze in the cock pot with the lid on for next time. You may have to skim the surface every so often to get the gunk off. Airplane guys have used this trick on engines and pipes for years, they can really look crappy after a lot of use.

Flitz is the best polish I have found, but it sure has gotten expensive.

Crock pot over night, pull it out of the crock pot and rinse it
out and off with some hot running water. Blow the pipe out
with some compressed air to dry it out good.
Then, if you want to bling-bling the pipe, start with a good rub down
with some NEVR-DULL(http://www.nevrdull.com/) wadding to
remove the heavy oxidation and follow that with some aluminum
polish (Mothers, Meguiars, Eagle One).

You are correct. They all draw the same amount of volts. 115 VAC out of the socket!

I havent tried this one but herd it works great. For the hard coated I just use a dulled x-acto blade and lightly scrape awat. then a little WD-40 and she id good as new!

WD-40 and 000 steel wool. Cleans and polishes at the same time.

A friend of mine cleaned some for me with a costic powder you mix with water, its used for cleaning concrete i think.
I did an amazing job in just 20 minutes, I weighed them before and after and I lost 7grams of gunk out of one old pipe.

I wish I knew what the stuff was, i'd get some.

That sounds like it would hurt... to be honest.

costic soda is to clean drains in your house, so it should do a good job on pipes!

If that is the same as caustic soda then yes it's a great cleaner. In fact it does such a good job on aluminum it can make the pipe disappear. Aluminum and caustic do not get along together. Not recommended.

In fact that may be part of the 7 grams curacing2 measured after use, the pipe may be that much thinner.

Has anyone tried oven cleaner/bbq grill cleaner? Just wondering if these will work. (For the inside)

Oven cleaner works excellent on the inside! Works well on the outside too. Just be aware that it will take the shine right off of the pipe, but some mothers Mag & Aluminum polish will bring that right back.

Just cleaned one of my 2060's that way and I was shocked by how much black gunk came out of it.
