The Xp is a good motor but the Xpe is well worth the extra $$

The xpe is a very good motor for the price plenty of power... but the xp v2 is going to be a little bit more of a smoother motor with better fuel mileage..

My understanding is that the XPE is the Alpha based engine. I do not think the XP are.

I have this engine in my truggy and buggy and I am really impressed with it so far. My truggy has a little over a gallon thru it and my buggy has about a half gallon. The truggy is just starting to come alive as the pinch is reducing. However, it is still hard to turn over by hand with the cooling head and head button off. Hopefully, I can get some video footage of it ripping around the track. Honestly, I did not think this engine would have this much kick to it but it is doing great.
