So these are rebranded OS right? Or are they Taiwanese copies? Is the 217 an XZ-B, or totally different? Have heard some good stuff about the 217...

Edit: OK, just read the first 4-5 pgs. So it's OEM OS. But I'd still be keent o know more about the 217, as it compares to the XZ-B, and well any other engines.. Is it a powerhouse for truggy for ex.?

They are rebranded OS. Looking at the specs they seem to be exact same except cooling head, cause the numbers are the same for everything.

The previous models seemed to be:
"Pricey one" - speed
"Cheaper one" - xz-b blue head

Now it seems:
"pricey one" - speed
"cheaper one" - OS new budget model xr-b or whatever it's called

where can I buy a Bullit motor in the US or anywhere for that matter

Zachfeen 07-15-2013 03:33 PM

HOBBYPRO carries bullitt correct?

Officespace 07-15-2013 05:22 PM

HobbyPro has a few Bullitt parts in stock and at very good prices, but they no longer sell the actual engines. I have 2 Bullitt B-218 engines, which are the exact same as the OS XZ-B Speed - Version I. I just rebuilt both my Bullitts with OS Speed and few Ninja parts - basically all the parts are interchangeable. Bullitt came out with a new B-219, which I hear is the same as the OS XZ-B Speed II, but nobody distributes them in the US that I know of.

We now run the Bullitt 219's and they are awesome. Best engines we have ever ran. We just get them from Nemo racing.

How do you get rid of the 2 stage idle? Tried leaning the LSN as suggested by many but doesn't seem to fix the issue. I m running the bullit 216 with 2090 pipe.

So what does it do when you lean it ?

Zachfeen 07-26-2013 07:33 PM

Leaning the LSN should do it

Can somebody give a quick run-down of the differences among the different engines - B216, B217, B218, and B219?? Thanks..

I'm not going to get off my lazy ass and google, but basicly it's like this:
old versions: XZ-B standard, higher number is XZ-B speed
new versions: XR-B budget engine, higher number is XZ-B Speed 2

Herrsavage 08-13-2013 07:11 AM

So for the "lesser" ones, the older 216 would be better than the 217(given equal prices)?....

B216 = Original XZ-B (OSM12180)
B218 = Original XZ-B Speed (OSM12186)
---
B217 = New XR-B (OSM12200)
B219 = New XZ-B Speed Spec 2 (OSM12175)

Minus some of the Nemo drivers testing the 217, I honestly haven't heard or seen any reviews of the new XR-B, even though it's been out for a few months now. From pictures I've seen of internals it definitely looks like a stripped down engine, but it has a different carb and couple other changes if you base them strictly on looks. Of course looks and performance are totally different.
