If you know Novarossi help me out
#1

I bought a new Novarossi a few months ago and I'm just now putting it in my buggy, the issue is I can't gut a clear idea of which engine it is... I know I could look one the box but alas right now I'm about 1000 miles from home and that's where the box is.
The engine I have is a Plus 21-4 that much I know... The issue I have is mine has a big T next to the plus sign... This would make me think it's a Plus 21-4T however under where it says NOVAROSSI it says TUNED (not FACTORY TUNED, just TUNED)... So is it a Plus 4 buggy, a Plus 21-4T (these are the only two options I found on Nova's website.... Or could this simply be an older model or a custom job?
Help me out please,
Shane

The BEST... Mine is still running strong. It had 8 gal with nothing done to it. Now with a repinch and 3 gal still running strong...

Now that we know what it is... what's the best way to break it it? I have already run two tanks through it at idle. Before starting I heated the engine up to ~200F with my heat gun. The issue I had was that I could not keep the heat in it and the stock plug simply would not idle at all, so I had to swap it out for a P3 and then it idled but only just.
Any help, again, would be appreciated.

Keep the heat on it and/or wrap the head with a sock, foil, or wrist band. That will keep the heat in it.. Use your remote to keep the "idle" high enough to keep it running.. Most all engines are set so rich out of the box they don't wanna run but ya gotta keep em rich for a while..
Thanks,
I think I'm going to get a Competition Heat as well.

also you need to be careful with the head button now. OS and Nova have a different taper plug and with you putting an os plug they button may not seal just right now

Mine had a Turbo plug in it... I replaced the stock plug with a Ninja P3 UltraHot and it idled a little better. I also leaned it out (just a tad) so that it would keep an idle. When I get home from traveling (be home on Saturday) I'm going to run a few more tanks through it... Hopefully my Competition Heat will be there by then...
