Ideal run temp for Orion .26 Big Block

What is a good run temp for an Orion .26 Big Block engine. I don't want to be running it to hot. Thanks

It will vary Depending on your location, weather, fuel, pipe plug etc.... but 200-250 is normal, But his is just a general ballpark.

Tune the idle steady and then tune by smoke, as long you have a stream of smoke you are safe. M2C

+1 all you need to worry about is smoke, tune to smoke, temp is a guide line to find out if your on the right track.

if your engine is playing funny games on you one day... temp it... it might be able to tell you if you have a tune issue

So you should always have a steady stream of smoke coming out or just on accleration? Thanks

You always will have smoke coming out but your main concern should be when accelerate, when you are at the track, there is when you have to look at your tune.;)
