for the first race or 2, set your throttle so it only opens about 3/4 at wide open. this will help you get use to the engine and probably give you better lap time and runtime than if you open it up 100%, also like stated above, a softer clutch will engage a little quicker and you will have less wheel spin

We only run steel in the front due to dust and dirt being forced up into the bearing under the flywheel. Dust and dirt are the mortal enemies of ceramic bearings. Plus front ceramics don't like the shock loading from the starter box when cold. The front bearing is small in comparison, so you are not gaining a huge amount by going to ceramic here.

Rear 14 x 25.4 x 6
Run either stock or ceramic here. We have been using the Answer Si3N4 silicone nitride ceramics and find them excellent and very long lasting. The Avid ceramics are also a very good bearing. Both have good ABEC ratings.[/QUOTE]

Question on the GXII, is anyone having to shave down the collet to get enough crank sticking out of the clutchbell with Losi clutch? Or is there a shorter collet available somewhere which does not need to be shaved?

you need a losi collet, they are shorter than the rest

Travis you must use the losi collet on losi clutch . Part number is losa9376 , it says for losi 1/10th gas but it the same used for 1/8th

Not sure on the Losi set up, but if the end of the crank is a little short of the end of the bell, use one of the OFNA clutch bearing retainers with the built in extender. This effectively gives you about 1 or 2 mm more of crankshaft length.

If you enlargen the picture, you will see the lip on the retainer that gives you the extra length. Hope this works for you

i think the top of the sleeve is different so we can't mix & match
hope i'm wrong, but i don't think so

it will fit in a gx case...i installed a gxii p/s/r in my buddies gx5r case and has been dialed for like 5 months

When the GXII5R was released, I was informed that all GXII parts are backwards compatible.

I do believe that if you want to put the finned head button on, you will need to use the GXII heatsink also.
