I think I have close to 4 gallons on my .23 as well, and it shows no sign of stopping! I switched to a dynamite carb with a 7mm reducer, the reducer wouldn't fit in my Argus carb, but the dynamite carb fit in the Argus .23 so I'm guna give it a shot! First initial test was good, no noticeable power loss, in fact id venture to say it seemed more power full...

Got a chance to run my Argus .23 with a dynamite carb with a 7mm reducer! Finished a 10min a main, which was started via rolling start, so close to 11min of run time total, with fuel to spare! Engine also had plenty of power for anything you threw at it!

That good to here I'm gonna run the r8 I got after I break it in with a 7 and the 0801 pipe. But this rain got me screwed so far.

Starting break in on my .23, checked the idle gap and from factory it was 1.5mm. I would suggest checking the gap and set it around 1mm for break in and deffinetly set it to .7 once the engine is broke in.

Default argus A5

I had just started running the Argus engines. I broke the engine in a little bit ago and only had one race day on the engine until this past sunday. The engine is finally getting totally broken in after a full gallon. This sunday was definately a good showing for the engine. It was able to keep up with any other engine on the track and had plenty of torque to clear any jump. I qualified 5th in the A main. I was running 3rd in the 25 minute main until I broke about 12 minutes in. I was very happy with the engine on sunday.

Good to hear, the A5 is budget priced but runs with all the high end engines!

Glad you like the motor. They last a long time too! As I've said on this thread, that motor is "budget" in price only! I've run big and small tracks with it and it keeps pace with the FX's and Nova's of the world.

On another note, I cannot wait for this weekend. Nitro is slow here in NorCal (about a race a month) & it's been a bit over a month since I've gotten to hear and feel that brrrrraaaapppp!!! My R8 is at about 3/4 gal and should finally get the rest of the way in this weekend. I cannot imagine it being any better. The R8 & A5 are ready!!!

Had a great showing for my .23 as well. Started last in a 7 truggy a main and worked my way up to 2nd. I mad a few to many mistakes but not having to stop during the 10min main sure helped get me back to 4th

Hey guys,

I just bought a buggy and it came with an Argus A52 .21 motor.
Although it still runs fine, I would just like to know where I can buy parts for the motor.
I would like to keep some in my parts box for when I need to do an rebuild.

You can work directly through Rex at www.rw=mods.com, or you can message him through RCTech (22Racer). Let him know what you are looking and he'll take care of you.

Default .23

I have a good race this weekend coming up gonna try the 7mm reducer on the .23. I had only ran one tank of gas on my r8 so it will not been ran yet. Gonna have to use another for buggy. Just hopping the stitches I got in my leg dont bug me. So I can give a good race try with truggy.

yes rex is a great man to deal with dont hesitate to get things from him at all. I know I dont.
