over thinking it a little?

the forum was fine the way it was!

newuserlosi8t 10-15-2010 09:29 AM

i thought they just put in a nitro engine section now a offroad engine section
i liked it the way it was

Alan D. 10-15-2010 09:31 AM

Let's just let them do this. It was annoying having to go to another topic to read up on engines.

shanem121 10-15-2010 09:33 AM

I like it without the engine section.

It was also annoying trying to find offroad threads to read through when every third thread title was asking which engine to buy next instead of just reading 5 threads from the week prior, or modders advertising there services or sleeve resizing etc...at least now it's inside the offroad section. I do read up myself on engines, but it got really excessive before this change.

i agree with that, im sayin they should have left it alone all together..

wingracer 10-15-2010 10:11 AM

This will be a LOT better guys. This is how it has been in the onroad thread for years and worked brilliantly. Give them the chance to get everything moved over and it will be perfect. Now you wont have the confusion of all the onroad engine threads either.

Marcos.J 10-15-2010 10:19 AM

wow you guys are never happy with anything, let Matt do what he is doing , the offroad nitro engine threads will eventually make it here , just give us time.

rcgeezer 10-15-2010 11:05 AM

I like it the way it is now...separating the stuff makes sense, and now at least I don't have to go to 2 different forums on the General Forums page to find all my off-road stuff. Change is good...embrace it!!:nod:

So why is it that it took so long to give "a LOT better" to the Offroad community? :sneaky:

I don't understand. I'm not a mod and have no authority over such things but many people have been suggesting this for quite some time.

quixoticboi 10-15-2010 11:55 AM

Oh, that wasn't directed to you at all. Just saw that the onroad community already had their forum setup this way. But it wasn't setup this way for offroad til now. So it baffles me a bit.

You're good wingracer! Didn't mean to offend you. ;)

JAMMINKRAZY 10-15-2010 12:02 PM

It is perfect now. How it should be.

No offense taken, I just didn't understand. It sounded like you thought I should have done before but of course, I can't :D

Couldn't agree with you more.

Thanks to all involved.

kudos to the moderators , looks good guys!!

J.Whiting 10-15-2010 12:39 PM

we are not perfrect... also you guys are not perfect... so suck it up and forward any thread that needs to be moved to the moderators.. we will get things moved as fast as we can.. i have moved several threads so far.. several members have been sending me links to get the threads to there correct home.. if everyone would do that instead of whinning this would take less time... thank you....

Marcos,

It is only human to yearn for more, if not we will still be running around naked in the forest and sleeping in caves...

We voice out our opinions because we care, when no one bothers to voice out anything anymore that's the day RCTECH will not longer be wanted or needed...

BTW, it looks great now! Thanks! :tire: :tire:

boxhead 10-16-2010 05:58 PM

Current setup is great, engines in a sub section for offroad is a great idea.

+1 Definitely. I think it is a brilliant idea.

Jaz240 10-16-2010 08:28 PM

I agree that this is great, but I am seeing everything get moved. Some guy asked questions about his Jato, it got moved, another was asking about his suspension, it got moved? I mean come on guys these are all Nitro Off road related threads so can we relax a little and not move everything? Keep in mind that even though they are Nitro cars, they still use radio's servo's and electronics, and there are other questions and areas that people need help with that can stay in the Nitro Off road thread ( which is becoming more and more boring by the minute )

Best post I have seen in a LONG time. Agree 100%

NitroFreakManHo 10-16-2010 09:31 PM

I dig it!:nod::tire:

NitroXray80809 10-16-2010 10:25 PM

I actually like it just as is! It seems like alot more guys are less hesitant to ask questions on more okward stuff for an engine because theres a thread for this now. IDK why to some this is a problem, if you dont want to see any engine topics then dont click one little button, if you do then more power to you. Easily said right? So with that said I like the way its done now.

hambone 10-16-2010 11:01 PM

I must say that after the onroad and offroad threads got seperated it's alot better. Just couldn't understand why the change? Now go into the elec offroad forum and give them a motor section only! Put their speed control issues in the radio and electronic forum. J/K.

My most favorite thing about the change is.. No more seeing the same threads up top, which were mostly all engine threads. Now i just have to weave through brang/car threads and if i wanna see those engine threads i just have to click and wait about 5 sec and i can do my engine search. Thats my most favorite part is seeing less product advertisement about some of this stuff.

When it was one forum for a short time it supprised me how less knowledge ofroad racers have about the onroad models. Are you guys living in your own world?
And that did make a mess and I loved to see how it is made now.
