Feed back on .24's

I want to know from people who has used a .24 motor in their truggy. What ever motor you used what was the run times you got and what set up you used. Nitro %, pipe, clutch and what not. Also how was the life of the motor?I know the os 25 had some pretty good run time and power was great, but a few guy's here had them and they didn't last very long. Looking at Orion's .24 so if you used that motor I really want to hear from you. Thanks. PS, please don't come on here and tell me I should use a .21!

I ran a Trinity ExTech .24 with JP6 pipe in a HB D8T for this last summer season, and was getting consistant 10 minute run times. UNfortunately it was to close to pit at 10.. I ran this same motor in buggy with 2057 pipe this last weekend, and after pitting at 13:30 in 20min main, I had enough fuel to run another 3 minutes easily, would've been 9:30 on 125cc tank..

If I had it to do over again, I would probably jus tget a hard hitting .21 for truggy.. But the ExTech .24 was an excellent engine with alot of grunt on the bottom..

I also have run a Trinity Extech .24 motor with a 2013 pipe in my Mugen Truggy. I actually thought it was a great mill for the price( I paid $200 for a new one) but recently the infamous cooling head breakage happened.

I still have it as a practice motor and it has almost 4 gallons on it. Runs like a top, getting about 10 min/tank. Tons of low end which is great on tight tracks but I get walked on long straight's (120 ft or more) by .21's.

If you run on a tight track that has short run up's to jumps you will love it. If you run on open tracks with long straights you will get pulled by .21's all day.

I owned 2 extech .24's and absolutely loved them. I was running them in my HB D8T with losi clutch, 13t clutch bell, with DP 053 MR pipe, and I was getting just over ten minutes run time on my full mod and about 9 min on my race prep. The bottom end was awesome and I could keep up no problem on our super long straightaway at revalation raceway. I would have kept them if there was parts support.
