I'm wanting to get started in the world of nitro RC. I'm looking at getting a Redcat Racing Volcano SV. I've read some reviews and still don't know if this is a good choice. I just don't want to buy a piece of junk but I don't want to spend over $250 if at all possible. Afterall, it's just going to be for fun at first. I'm wanting to get an 1/10 off road truck. If you know of another RTR vehicle that would fit my needs let me know. Thank you. ANy suggestions are welcomed.

Honestly, I would save up and spend a little more money from the go. I know where you're coming from, but if you buy something like that to start, you're going to get frustrated tuning it, and fixing cheap, broken parts, and you will soon lose interest in the hobby due to a cheap vehicle. I had a buddy buy two of those redcat cars and they were both junk. Very hard to find parts for too.

My advice is to spend a little more money, and get a better built vehicle. If you're looking at a 1/10, look at the Losi Ten-T.
