Thanks Jay. It's a challenging track with a 2'-3' groove. Big fun in a small package.

Will do. It's the most unique engine I have ever had, seen, etc....sounds like a GP motorcycle when she's on pipe....gives you goose bumps the first time you hear it

We have 2 tracks here in Pa suited to that engine. My Fire 11/2083 combo spun so hard it flaked metal off the rear bearing race. It made your hair stand up at end of front straight, lol. Haven't been back to that track!

Default Clearance

Neal,

What do you recommend for head button to piston clearance on a BTT 4 with Sidewinder V2 Clear 30% Strike fuel? Our elevation is usually around 800-1200 feet above sea level. Putting new rod in and while I have the engine apart just want to check everything. Going to plug the vacuum port while I am at it too.

Thanks very much!!

A little bit of fun with the Proto 7........... decided to run the 41001 manifold on the 9901.......... Works awesome...amazing what just swapping out a manifold can do, on the 41021 it was lazy, and on the 41001 it runs like a scaled dog.......Anyways just some back lane running, wasn't really planned or anything, but the pipe ran so Nicely I decided to shoot video...

Have you tried the 2096 with 41001 manifold on any engines ? i raced the Proto7 again this weekend. It was awesome !!!!! i was in second place in the main and lapped most of the field and broke a front arm with only 3 minutes to go. I love how it can be so smooth but if i want the power it gets crazy hahaha

Why vacuum return port plugged?

Does the 9901 ss sound as good as the 9886 ss with the 41001?

When I scrolled down and saw a video I immediately thought it was the proto 9 but then I read proto 7 lets see some proto 9 footage hookem

Raced outside of Philly today. 23 truggies, qualified 3rd, finished 3rd. Great competition. The Fire 11 was excellent all day long. Once again it was the only truggy that made the 20 min main on 1 pitstop. Power delivery is excellent. Wonderful engine!

run .8 mm total shims and once engine loosens up fully you can try running .7 mm total shim....but for the most part the .8 shim should be good..............the BTT has low exhaust timing so you dont want to drop the head too far.....

Dont you love the ten mile high club it such a great advantage especially cause the pit lane is full at the 7-9 min mark your able to save so much time cause the pit lane is empty and your cutting a pit out. That's the main reason I buy modded engines cause I'm not the greatest driver.
