Hello,

I am running an Inferno GT2 with equipped with a Clocked Nova 28-7T.

The motor has an M2C Clutch sprung with (2 x .90 and 2 x .95), and weighted with half of the set screws.

Currently running Werks #6 Plugs and Byron's fuel to complete the break-in process, but have 4 gallons of Werks Race Fuel waiting when I done.

I bought this motor last year from Neal, but haven't had time to do anything other than idle a few tanks through it in an older buggy I have...

Well, I installed the motor on the correct chassis and decided to complete the break-process today...

Anyways, here is my problem.... I can drive around at lower speeds and see lots of smoke, but when I accelerate to mid throttle, the engine sounds like it is back-firing, bogging down, or it flames out if I accelerate too fast...

This engine is far from being tuned properly, and it's already putting a perma-grin on my face!

Any advice in sorting out what I may be doing wrong would be great.

Thanks,

I have the same clocked motor. It runs terrible with Werks plugs. Put a Nova plug in it and have fun.

Hey Neal,

Thanks for the help... I think that I may have fouled the plug or had it seated wrong...

Anyways, I changed the plug and started to tune from base settings... Everything is all good now.

Thanks again!

I love the 2058 on my Bonito in truggy, really opens it up and gives it a crisp bottom. Pretty good run time as well, and of course sounds nasty!

Any update on the big Nova race at CRE Raceway? Would love to see some vid from qualifying. Neal, I hope you are charging by each turn of the screw driver for your services this weekend. Might pull in as much as Murray if you did...:ha:

Happy racing from Vegas! :cool::tire:

Friday we had a great day of practice. Around 6 the skies opened up then another half hour later it happened again. They got the water off the track last night but this morning we had another monsoon which washed us out for today. Quals and mains tomorrow!

I have one of the earlier clocked P5's. I see now you can choose buggy or truggy mod, anyone tell me how the original ones where there was no choice of which mod compare to those, and which would it be closer to?

NLR-Power and C 08-05-2012 02:21 PM

where are the updates?

Thanks to Mother Nature, I think we got started racing around 11am.

Thanks to an amazing race director, we still managed to get through 3 rounds of qualifying and all the mains by about 8pm with 9 heats and 8 mains....but that meant for a VERY busy day. I think all the CRE boys are still to worn out to even look at their computers.

I'd give you more, but all I can remember from results is that a Clocked Novarossi P5 in an RC8.2 won Intermediate Buggy, and a Clocked Werks B5 in a Serpent 811-T won Intermediate Truggy, with another Clocked Serpent in 2nd (that was an amazing race, back and forth for the better part of 20 minutes!)

Oh yeah, and Billy Easton put something like 4 or 5 laps on the entire Expert field, including Josh Ford and Evan Titchkosky.

There should be an entire album of photos once the guys have a chance to sort through and weed out the bad ones. Matt figures somewhere around 2000 photos were taken.

I had a awesome time going up to CRE Raceway. Meeting Neal, John, and Laurance was great. Everyone was awesome to hang around and race with. The track surface was nothing like I have ever driven on before. I got my 1/8 E buggy dialed in quickly however my nitro buggy I didn't get working perfectly untill the Main.

Thanks alot to Brain for putting me in the main. Thanks to Nick for flaming out 15 seconds befor each of my pitstops making Brain work his tail off pitting us both.

I really wished we never got any rain, but the CRE crew adapted quickly and with some effort we got the track in race shape for Sunday. I Deffinetly will be back again if you guys decide to host this yearly.

Big thanks to Jeff Ford for giving me a place to sleep and pit. Not to mention his NASCAR driving the way home, I got to my door at 5am leaving just enough time to shower and take back off to work.

Oh and your Guys subways suck, they don't have American cheese and don't accept american Visa's. Lol
