I always used some "JB Weld" epoxy to glue the insulators onto
my O.S. v-spec carbs. Just spread a thin layer of the epoxy inside of the insulator with a Q-Tip or flux brush. Slide it onto the carb body until it seats all of the way onto the carb body. Make sure you clean all of the excess wet epoxy off of the carb body and bottom of the insulator with a damp rag. Let the epoxy set-up overnight before you install the carb on the engine. I have tried the o.s. carb on quite a few different engines and found the engines always gained a little extra runtimes. Let us know if the Werks engine gains any extra runtime using the o.s. carb. |

Thank you rageworks! I'll give that a try and see how it holds. I've heard it makes the B5 tune real nice. The engine runs real good but it won't hold a steady idle no matter what I do to it. I'm not a great nitro tunner but I can tell something is not right with it so I figured I'd try a different carb to see if its me or the carb. I will let you all know how it does. Thanks again!

Interested in this as well.
Plus4T has great torque, but a smoother pull thru the powerband then the P5, very good on fuel B6 has a good bottom and the powerband really blossoms in the midrange and top end, the engine has some really serious top end run out..... Extremely good on fuel.... |
I switched to the Os carb after two gallons, and was much happier. (Werks b5 pro)
Tunes MUCH easier, and just seemed to perform better. The run time was about the same, maybe a little less. Still got 11-12 minutes when tuned right. |
Funny enough I swithed both my werks b5 pro & b6 pro over to novarossi carbs as I just kept getting inconsistent tunes that where perfect one day then way off later that same day.....been good as gold on a novarossi carby
|
which OS carb should I use on my b6 pro

Thanks. Will the Plus4T or B6 have more bottom assuming similar pipes are used, say a 2058.

+100. Same result for me when I sitched over to my OS long needle carb.
:weird: I ran engines from this same factory back in 2006. Back then they needed Nova carbs too. |
pop corn time.. lol

everyone has their preferences... No popcorn needed.....

I'm not saying the werks carbs are no good or anything like that I just wanna try an OS carb to see how it does. I would never say anything bad about werks engines because they are great. I have 3 B5's and they have all ran very well but there's something about this new B5 pro with the idle on it.
