10min+ Run Time Engines?

I'm just wondering through others experience which engines you are getting more than 10 minutes run time on a tank of fuel in a buggy?

blade954 06-07-2010 05:58 AM

OS Speed Hara worlds we were getting 10+ with out filter...

Werks B5 and B6

The way you drive affects runtime greatly... 1 driver can get 10 mins the other can get 8 mins

Werks B5 and B6. they are the cheapest, really good runtime, and awesome performance.

Novarossi Plus4 engines

novarossi +4. This engine has never failed to go at least 10min. Once its broke in I do a 10 min pit stop schedule at every race, never let me down once.

+1, all 3 colors are getting 10+. I generally get @ 10:30 out of my orange head on a pretty fast and open track with a lot of technical jumps. So we spend a fair amount of time half throttle and up.

And what about Orion ABI alpha engines?

Frank L 06-07-2010 07:25 AM

Is about 90% driver and 10% engine. I run powerhouse modded os speed engines and they will easily go 10 mins but in the main I get agressive and pin the throttle every chance I get so I always pit between 8 and 9. I hate running out of fuel. The carb restrictor plays a part too but a smooth driver can always get better gas mileage.

Driver

It does have some to do with the driver, however if you look at the pros they are all driving pretty hard. The nova motors are getting 10+ in alot of situations but not always. The orion motors usually don't. If you are really driving at an expert A main pace 10 mins is not un-heard of but is not the norm. If your not an expert driver just pit one more time and crash one less time and it will work out the same.

ALPHA Plus! = 10+

Novarossi +4 series with 41021/9901. Use 2084 in truggy.

Novarossi 3-ports (Like N21 and Losi Nitrotec); same pipe/header as above; or 2084 if using them in truggy.
