They are correct the 2013 is no longer legal for EFRA races. However for the US or non EFRA Sanctioned events it's all good

what does the plug look like that is "bad"? plugs can fail from being too rich, too lean, something foreign in the engine, also do you have a GOOD glow ignitor?!? I have done that at the track go to start my vehicle and bburrrraaa goes the starter box with nothing (odd my engines alyways pop right off) pull plug check it no light WTF weird? toss the plug put in a new new bbrraaaa again grab another ignitor and vrrooommm lol if you need a plug lemme know and I will send ya one out since Ron is out right now.

i was following your break in method, and actually running it even a little richer just to be safe. when i look at the plug that burnt out today, it looks like there's some unburnt fuel inside it and a section of the coil is gone, maybe 1/64 of an inch. i am running byrons rtr blend because of the extra lubricant for break in, then i will switch to race 2000 or maybe 2500

i use the ofna glow ignitor that runs off the power from my starter box, maybe tomorrow when i head to the track i will try using someone elses ignitor on the plug that came with it.

Some of the latest B6 engines I have gotten have come with the Werk's #6 plug..... This is an excellent glowplug, very heavy duty and very durable...However it does use a heavier coil element then most plugs and because of that I find it needs a little more juice to light..If your glow ignitor is weak it may not be adequate to light this plug.....I have now seen a few people throw away a perfectly good #6 simply because their glow ignitor was not strong enough for this plug...They ran the engine too rich and when trying to restart the ignitor couldn't get the plug hot enough to burn off the accumulated oil from the previous run.......So in the end the Werk's #6 is a killer glowplug, runs strong and seems to last forever, however it does take a little more juice to make it glow really hot !

Any you could probably get decent mileage with depending on how hard you are on the throttle, I run the pro class similar to you and I stick with the 2057 or 2058...
Thanks so much! Love the information you guys have on this motor! Can't wait for the weather to turn so I can try it out.

Default Reving up in the air

Just went thru 15 tanks and just noticed that on 2 of the bigger jumps the engine will rev up on its own while in the air. Clunk looks normal. Can't figure out what it could be.

that means the engine is "running" on which usually means you are lean somewhere or a large idle gap?
