Pete31 remember the B6 is more for buggy than truggy. The B5 seems to push a truggy alot better on the bottom end. I recomend the B5 for truggy. The B6 should very good milege if you like running the motor in truggy. It just doesnt have enough bottom grunt in truggy for me.

i went to my first race yesterday with my werks b6/2058 powered losi 8ight, this thing screams! i absolutely love it! a guy actually asked me if i had geared it way up because i was one of very few people able to clear the front triple consistently, and i was running with guys using much more expensive engines. so far, i have decided i'm sticking with werks for all my nitro kits i get from here on out

so i finally broke into my b6 engine..this baby is beautiful..i have approximately 10-12 tanks and i haven't Really started to race tune it...i broke into it with Ron's great explanation on page 1 and it went perfect..i just seem to have one problem..after a couple of laps on the track if i stop the car and let it idle for about 5 seconds. the engine would shut down..any reasons why this could be happening? i was thinking it might be that the idle is to low?..i know this might be a quick fix but i just don't know what to do anymore and i don't wanna mess up the tune that i already have..thanks!

to low of idle, or rich bottom end loading up the engine as idle....
#1525

yup, i dont think its the rich bottom end but i do think the idle is to low because when i let it go to idle after a good run it goes down to much.. so what i should do.open up the idle screw a hour or so mayb??
#1526

you can try that and see what happens, what size is your current idle gap?
#1527

I have it at .05mm
#1529

just making sure you were not at a large idle gap already. I would say it safe to bump up the idle

I am seeing these mills pop up more and more at our local track and I'm noticing how smooth and linear the power band is of these things, there is not dead spot. I have only ran o.s. motors and I currently run o.s. motors in my 8 2.0 and 8t 2.0 but with what I'm seeing I am enticed to get me one of these, with its smooth powerband and increased fuel mileage and the value makes it almost irresistable.
