Have the new v2 reds team edition that i got off another racer and wouldnt run on the weekend which is first time out and turns out the ARO he used has eaten away at the silicon in the crank and was fouling the glow plugs so it wouldnt idle etc.
Should i just clean out all the silicon from engine including from the crank and leave it unfilled or get it redone?
Thanks.

It will run fine without the silicon on the crank :-)

Correct, the 2014/S might work well too, but the 2113/M or S is the first choice.

FYI for everyone. The 2099 was discontinued in favor of the 2104. We felt in testing the powerband and results were almost the same. I still think I have some 2099 in back stock if anyone wanted to snatch them up.

Is the carburetor on the TE2 version 2 identical internally as the original Team Edition 2?

As far as I know there were no changes there.

I'm a Reds rookie but was interested in the R5R. What is the powerband like? Currently running a B6 and really like it but I'm always looking to try something else in the $300ish range.

I run one in my NB48 and honestly, with one shim removed, running 25% it's basically too much motor for the buggy. I am now looking for ways to smooth the powerband.

I was a huge fan of the GRP Tuned and Rossi in general. Is there no pipe/header option that provides a nice, linear powerband? I so miss the GRPs and the B6 has been about the closest thing I've been able to find since.

The GRP tuned will definitely be more controllable in a light buggy such as Tekno. I'm already running an xtra short header and will be trying a 2104 'smooth' pipe as well as tuning the clutch, which I suspect will make the biggest difference. Keep in mind that this is with the extra compression of one .1 shim removed, I may need to re install it if I can't tame it enough. Won't change the engine out in a hurry though as it is very stable at idle and I am getting phenomenal runtimes out of it

Default stubbron mixture screws

Hey dudes, has anybody have mixture screws move or back out on you? The reason i ask is my mixture screws (high and low) are very hard to turn out or in. Putting dings in the slot of the head of the mixture screws. Almost feel like i'm going to break the head off. Anyhow i back both high and low mixture screws out and put grease on the o rings and put them back in. Question is did i SCREW UP or what? Please chime in and let me know. Thanks in advance.
