I run the WS7 with the x-one 2104 smooth pipe in buggy and the WRX x-one2104 torque pipe in truggy. RC tech is kinda dead. Your best bet is to post on FB either on Reds racing or Reds racing USA

Default updside down flame outs

The past several race weekends my REDS WR7 has flamed out when upside down after some time waiting for marshalls. The clunk in the tank seems fine. It doesn't flame out like its fuel starved revving and then dying it just dies all the sudden. Starts right back up no issues. Happens way too often. Engine is tuned very well, idles forever, no lean bogs, no clue what this could be. TEKNO NB48.4. Please help thanks.

As you know alot of different issues can cause a flame out. I would fill the tank after she has been warmed up after a few laps and then bring her back in to the pits and turn her upside down and see if she flames on you. If she does and you've changed the plug/checked all the fuel lines/ checked o-ring on tank/ standard stuff as you would. I would run her again on track till warm then bring in and check temp/ have someone else check temp as well with separate temp gun.

I've seen flame outs upside down caused by Rich Low Needle but masked by high idle screw setting. Probley not your issue as you said you've had good tunes on it.

how many gallons do you have thru it ?

How often are people changing these bearings out? Seems like they need to be changed out more frequent then other engines.

Default Reds WR7 2.0

The info below is copied from Reds Racing USA. Sounds like they left everything else the same and changed the carb a little.

REDS Racing All-New WR7 Diamond 2.0 engine. The new engine is a 7 special porting extreme power engine based on WR7 Diamond edition. The engine comes with the same sleeve and piston, crankshaft, crankase, etc. as the first generation of WR7 in order to keep its power characteristics unchanged.

We decided to improve the previous version with:

- Improved idle stability and tuning options thanks to a new 3 needles setting carburetor.

- Improved mid to top range power curve and feeling thanks to a special low speed needle and mid range spray bar.

- improved cooling system specifically developed to widen the operating range so that the engine can work well in extremely hot conditions. Furthermore, the new cooling system has been created to guarantee a more consistent tuning in every track condition.

- DLC Coated Crankshaft

Could the carb be used on my WRX and WR5 to make them 2.0 as well?

It looks like a traditional 3 needle carb now. I'm guessing that's better than the horizontal hsn?

I have a great interest in the Reds WR5 HE.
But I do not know if it's a good bet.
