Connecting rod compatability

Does anyone know if the TQ connecting rod work on Mugen Ninja .28??

Also, does anyone know who has parts like the Piston/sleeve for the .28??

Thanks.

You have to check on the stroke length of your MR .28 for that. Parts for those engine are very rare.

Piston/sleeve for the .28 MR ninja are an unobtanium almost...maybe if your lucky on ebay.

The .21 GRP Tuned and the .28 GRP Tuned use the same conrod, so there is a good chance the TQ conrod will fit the .28 MR ninja

Btw, a TQ crank should drop into the .28 MR ninja no probs...

No, only the .21 is available.

Connecting rod

Maybe the rod will fit if that is what you are looking for, but, I have not seen A-main sell just the rod alone. All as a kit. Rods have been out of stock for some time.

RoyJ 11-01-2010 07:48 AM

Actually the kit number is TQP5014, which includes the P/S/R set.

The rod is available separately, as part number TQP5019. It just happens to include a new wrist pin and clips, which are items that should always be replaced during any new rod change. It's a bonus that they come together with the rod. Engine sizes .21 and .28 typically use the same rod of the same brand. I've never seen any two of the same make with a different rod.

Amain has the rod listed on the following page.
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...t-Pin-Clip-Set

The rods are still on back order, but the factory parts order has indeed been placed and should arrive any day now. It will take a couple of days thereafter for dealers to get them re-listed as "in-stock".

Thanks for your patience, but we were overwhelmed with conrod demand from GRP owners. We should have sufficient stock in the future, to take care of both GRP and TQ customers.
