i dnt know if its good for the pipe or not but i use simple green or agent orange and wash it out real good after or even i have used nitro fuel

I use oven cleaner (foam based spray from Muscle) and brillo pads.

You can spray it inside the pipe as well, let it work for 30 minutes and then flush it out with water, you can see the dirt come out.

+10000000000000 on the crockpot. AB at the speed shop did a 2060 for me at the beginning of the season pipe was mainly black and brown looks horrible. One day in the crockpot with antifreeze and it looks brandnew except for the scratches where I had cleaned on it before. Also cleans out the inside which will make your engines run better. Some pipes have little passages in the corners and if they get clogged, it can( work prpoerly.

I will try and post some before and after pics when I get home.

You could also hit up Alan Burton on his Speed Shop thread here on rc tech and see what he charges, maybe you got a few other things you need done also.

No other way in my opinion.

Crockpot is one of those things that sounds like BS but it works great. Couldn't believe it till I tried it. +1 here also. 50/50 mix with water and your set.

crock pot is a very good way for cleaning your pipe, just make sure you don't breath the fumes. I don't think they are good for you. The good thing about the crock pot is it gets all the gunk out of the inside of the pipe as well.

I use a product made by CRC called tyme. It is a cold caburator parts cleaner. I just pour it into a coffee can drop in my pipes leave soak for a couple of days and wrinse with water. The pipes come out spotless. You can use the same cleaner over and over again.

Should be easy to find at a auto parts store.

here is the info

CRC Tyme

This is the best one and zero work on your part.. Fire up the pot and let it run over night of for 5-6 hours and take it out and wipe it down.. Blow out the insides and let it dry.. It Couldn't be easier..

slotkarter77 04-04-2010 10:46 PM
