Pretty much just a decoration. Almost everyone just leaves it at the stock flush setting. But if you were to mess with it the midrange adjustment basically adjusts the position of the spray bar... but any gains are usually minimal and not worth the hassle.

I agreed with it. Is really decoration unless you over tune it will make the engine stupid

it allows you to move the fuel outlet to match the size of the venturi insert...use a small insert you move it inwards, use a large insert you move it outwards...Basically allowing you to maintain the same location in relation to the incoming air stream...... when you adjust it you also adjust the LSN with it...so if you turn the Mid out half a turn you would turn the LSN in 1/2 a turn.....

well that gold edition nova 3 port absolute is selling is a pretty decent little motor for the price, the specs they list are wrong as its a square stroke motor but with 1.0s and std ae rc8 shoes its got decent bottom and enough top end for at least 100 foot straight and its just broken in.
running a werks 086 on it with an unknown smooth bend header(its my shortest smoothie) in an ancient cl-1buggy

I'm looking for some options for a throttle return spring set up. I'm told a rubber band works or a spring. I'm also told this only pulls on one side of the carb so it causes uneven wear on the slide which effects tune. What are some options for this? Pics are helpful if possible.

Rubber bands, water balloons, silicon hair bands, springs... It really doesn't matter as they all do the same thing. As long as it closes the carb all the way to the idle stop, it doesn't matter.

I have never run without one honestly and I think it helps to "assist" the engine coming from WOT to idle...But as long as it closes smoothly, you should be fine.

They can cause the carb to bind. I use a hair band and it is light enough to close the carb but not cause the carb to bind. Never ran one for 10 plus years.

Cant honestly say ive Ever had my throttle linkage ball pop off, Also a proper build linkage will technically never fall apart (vehicle to vehicle accidents aside)

So therefor i dont see the point of a Goody band anymore.

In case you wanted specific Springs, Novarossi Direct has these:

Doesnt hurt to be safe

What ifs always get ya

Btw those metal return springs will wear your carb slide boot until there is a hole ,guaranteed
