Hey guys if i use a O'donnell 97t plug on my plus 4c, can i still switch to the nova turbo plugs without changing the head button on it?

Your fine with the O'Donnell plugs. Only the OS plugs have a different taper that messes with the button.

Doesn't sell a diamant! Actually I'm going to buy that engine (or what left of it ;)) for a few beers. Then I've a perfect engine for races for this season... That is until I perhaps shall race a COMPLETE new engine on the market (should be ready in a few month) nearly no one has been driven in the hole wide world... Time will tell

Why is the P5XLT so much cheaper than the rest of the Nova .21's ? Old model or what's wrong with it ? Looking for a truggy motor in the low 200's.

All the engines without the full cnc "team" piston are a bit less , steel bearings , no 17011 front bearing , still a great engine though

Bonito = toro. Im using 9901 for buggy and 2058 for truggy. Still waiting for my friend mr ck lee to fine tune for me. Or maybe u can ask ben panic ah.

megasaxon 03-23-2012 11:07 AM

9901 pipe runs good on the Toro/Bonito. run a 21/29 header in the buggy and a 20/30 header in the truggy

kaotickc 03-23-2012 01:07 PM

Im kinda liking the 2096 on my bonito in a buggy.

Low end is 11007 and high end is 11009 I believe that's right
That's for the bonito but I'm pretty sure its the same carb.

I recently switched from the RC8.2 standard clutch to a Werks (Heavy) clutch system. Would this affect my tune much? The car ran fine but seemed to idle a bit irregular (faster). Almost sounded a bit lean. This is on a Plus 21-4.

i dont know anyone who uses the heavy flywheel from werks or any other manufacturer for that matter

i would recommend getting at the heaviest the medium weight flywheel

the heavy flywheel will make your engine feel as if it is doing some weird sheeit ;)

Eastside777 03-26-2012 05:52 PM

Thanks, like I said the car ran fine just idled a bit weird.

the weight of the flywheel is probably keeping the engine rotating even after it wants to come down to idle after the fuel has been spent out of the crankcase ;)

Eastside777 03-27-2012 03:47 AM

Makes sense. I figured it was something like that so i didn't want to start twisting needles for nothing. I need to geet my hands on a medium flywheel as I like the feel but the idle is bothering me.

Eastside777 03-27-2012 12:33 PM

I spoke to the people at Werks and have been told that the Heavy clutch should actually cause the engine too idle better. So now I'm a bit confused. One person saying it's no good and the other saying it should be better.

i think you are misunderstanding what i am sayin , the heavy flywheel will keep the engine idling through rotation of mass and in turn will allow you to lower the idling of the engine . i was trying to tell you that the heavy weight of the flywheel will keep momentum for a longer duration and force the engine to rotate after the fuel in the crankcase is spent , hope that is clear , sorry for any confusion

Eastside777 03-27-2012 02:28 PM

What you told me was what I was thinking but the Werks tech said it should idle better that's what's confusing.

Hey guys, I need some input.....I am having a bit of problems with the idle on a 21-4BTT. It only has a gallon, maybe a bit less on it. The idle is rich and when I lean it out, it goes from rich to pinging. I can't get it just right. I have a 21-4C Team, and I can get it perfect.

I have replaced the glow plug and went that route....I don't think that is the issue.

Any ideas? Do i just need to run it rich and let it break in more maybe?

Are you dropping the idle gap when you lean it out? Sounds to me like its too big

psr 03-31-2012 08:02 AM

hey guys i dont have a issue but a questern i have two btta motors one i brought a few months ago and one i broughts this week for a big race they are both identical part numbers but the older one has a nova branded bearing and the other has some random bearing the one that can be view from out side the engine

is this normal alos could this be a fix for the dodgy nova bearing issue ?
