Any filters or coolers in place?

Yes you should replace the head button if you want to use a nova or OD plug.

Last question

We have problem to restart a Nero after the engine stalls and this happen a few laps on the track.
After cooling down it starts without difficulties.
Some told us was the overheating of the carb
True ?
Some even water nitro and apply compressed air on the carb, and this works

What caused the carb overheat ? And how do we solve.

Hi.

The experts from Novarossi suggested the Danish Team Drivers at the Euro '11 not to run their BTT engines hotter than 115º C with an ambient temp of 20º C. Of course that engine temp is relative. But that should be a nice starting point for you when you set the HSN and you are close to the right setting af the LSN.

Well guys, I blew up my first motor last night. I had a three year old PTM Toro Nero, motor probably had 10-12 gallons on it though. Still had a ton of pinch/compression when I took it apart after blowing it up. The brass bushing that is inside the connecting rod where it attaches to the crank basically disintegrated. It was a great motor, my first real "race" engine. Anyhoo, I guess its time to buy a new engine. Has anyone run the maxpower thunder (5 port w/ boosters)? This motor will go in my MBX-6T. I also have a HotMod .821 nova that I absolutely love in my other Mugen. Is there a motor that is comparable to this? Any opinions are appreciated guys, just let me know.

Thanks, Mike

My racing buddy has that exact motor (maxpower 8 port), and it is a screamer. I am trying to be a little different though and that is why I was asking about the 5 port w/ boosters.

Thanks, Mike

Neil, you've got me thinking. Just went to your website (very nice by the way) and I saw that you recommend Werks or Nova plugs. I have always run the O'Donnel 97T's in my Novas, would this plug not work? Also, what is the usual turn around time between ordering (most likely 2-3 weeks) and when I actually get the motor. I am on the east coast (DC metro area) and I know that customs can be a pain, but what is the usual transit time.

Thanks, Mike

I am looking for a Novarossi Bonito .21 used but in good condition. Let me know if you have one. I know it is a shot in the dark.

I'm not neal but it only takes 1 to 2 days to get your motor. I live in Ky. And I got mine in 2 days. They use DHL next day shipping. Can't beat that. The customer service is outstanding too.

This happened to me after gallons and gallons of use on my plus4c...I was actually able to replace the rod and clean out the mill and no scratches on piston or sleeve. Ran fine after new new rod and cleaning. This may b an option for you

order today and I will have the engine there on Tuesday !

OD plugs are too fragile for a engine like this tho..... they are too hot and the coil is too thin.......on a stock engine with average RPM capabilities a OD 97 works fine, but on one of my screamers the OD plug will not last more then a tank or two
