I'm thinking $500 for the motor and $580 for the motor and pipie.

The standard U.S spec is $420.

It's based on the CRF US Spec engine, so the price will definitely be in the $400+ in the US. Sad, because I didn't see too many US Spec's in the North East region, 1 maybe 2.

Hope they price it well to make them attractive. Most guys up here run Ninja, VSpec, Nova, EB Mod and RB's.

isn't this engine the US spec by picco with an Alpha Abi carb? From the looks of it the crankcase is the same as the US spec, the head also and the carb an Abi version. Nice engine, but I guess marketing takes over...

Look at the engine case, then look at the case on a cl7b or kanai evo 3-4 same thing, same markings made with the same stamp.
like I said before its most likely an engine simillar to the werks b5(as in it has 5 ports) with the CRF style compressor crank.

Neal i dont think these will replace the picco built engines, I think its more or less horizon working with orion to make an exclusive engine for their dealers. But who knows mabey they did make the switch from picco to star.

Actually the Cl7B uses the older case style similar to the WERKS B7 Pro....This new Alpha engine has the same case design as the Extech engines...

judging by the "ALPHA" on the head, it points to star engines being the manufacturer of the line. i think they will be reasonably priced seeing the last few engines out have been in the high 200$ low 300$ range depending on where u got them at, id guess 350$ at most 400$. i think companies are starting to realize putting a large price tag on things wont sell lol i remember a cheap truggy kit use to cost low 600$ now u can get them under 500$ without looking to hard. hopefully more companies are looking into marketing there things reasonably to get things selling again.

I saw Truhe at Rev on Sat. and his engine was performing very well and sounded wicked! He had the red head on it but I suspect it was the MTE.
