The only info I've gotten on the pipe is in this thread. Personaly I'm useing the 2040 pipe. I have been doin well with this set up. Still get lots of torque and excellent top end. For me the 2080 will have to wait till next season at that price.

I got my first chance to try the motor at a local club race. This engine is as good as any stock novarossi. I ran mine with the 2080 pipe set. The only problem I had was run time. In three quals I could not make 5 min. Hoping once I get the motor fully broken in the mileage will get better.

This engine is the real deal. Could not be happier. I ran this engine this past
weekend at the paris memorial gp in Lasvegas. Ran it with a 2052 Nova pipe
with short manifold. I qualified 4th in the Amain. Broke my MRX-5 in the warmup for the main. My fault did not make sure the servo horn on steering
was on tight. Will be running these engines for the region 12 champs and
the ifmar worlds comming up in Miami 2011.

I agree 100%. O.S. has really out done them selves with this one. I already have one ported and polished for next year.

Hi!

I just bought an XZ-R too, hope it gets here soon and hope it makes me happy

I'm going to use an 2033 Picco muffler with Picco conical manifold that I have, has someone else (I saw an earlier post of someone using this combo) tried this combination of engine/muffler already?

Regards!

This engine is so well made I may not need to run the second one till the middel of the season. The first one is still like new. The pinch is still tight. I have over five gallons in this mill. O.S. make some damn good engines.

If you are talking about the XZ-B and XZ-B Speed.... If you gear up one tooth to make up for the flat top end (or just don't have a long straight), I really liked the 2013 on the XZ Speed on my GT8. Had enough bottom to handle the gear up and was smooth enough not to have traction issues punching it out of corners. I think someone took a video of my car with that combo. I'll look for it. Also heard the JP-4 was a beast with the XZ on the road, but I haven't tried it.

If you are talking about the XZ-R itself, I can't help you... haven't run it.
