Adam this engine is just straight killer and with a 13:30 run time. The power is instantanious and awesome. I used to run my os 25 mod from last year paired with the 086 but the OS 2060 is the match for this engine. I do not know what you have done but this thing is insane! Your R&D on this engine is top of the line.

Busted a rod. The piston is jammed and the sleeve is so damaged that it's jammed up too. Not even 1 - 1/2 gallons through it
I broke it in super slow and easy. Always heated it up with the competition heat. Never a cold start. Always warmed her up before opening it up or tuning. NEVER ran lean!! And Never got the chance to beat on it and see what she had.. Guess that's a picco for ya.. Oh well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...4/960b86fd.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...4/57093473.jpg |
Wow that sux! Very sorry to hear this. This is NOT a common issue with these Picco engines at all...:weird:
|
I know they blow rods but i was really easy on it..
I Don't understand.. I'm in the process of getting this sleeve out.. can i just buy another piston/sleeve or do you need the crankcase and cooler? |
I haven't had an issue with these blowing rods. Ive only blown one Picco rod and that was in a .21 engine when dyno testing one time... And it was over 40,000RPM when it broke... I have A LOT of customers running these and running them VERY hard in pulling trucks etc with great success as well. Hopefully Picco doesnt have a bad batch of rods out there...

To get the port timing correct for the modification id need your case to measure the port height etc
Hopefully you can get that sleeve out without damaging the block. Great work! |

Not gonna bother, I'm just gonna buy a new engine. It was fun while it lasted.
Great work! |
