It's still kinda hard for me to tune the engine, being that this is my first engine other than an OS. As far as the HSN, should the screw be close to the edge, or is it closer to the middle. I turned it out from closed 4 times, but it still seems to be running hot.

got my new motor from kyosho, and it looks ok but it looks differant then the old one, ill run it with 16% again and see what happens,

If I'm not mistaken, the HSN has to go about 8 turns out from closed. Try that.

How much usage are you guys getting before you change piston and liners?

They hold the compression great (those ones with less pinch). I've passed around 10 litres of fuel to my original STi and finally that s*cker has finished their break-in, time to tear the track, was really quick, but now is the same with less temp. Planning to change the main bearing at least. After the nightmare of the past 10 litres they look fine, but main bearing is cheap and I get an extra of security for not blowing it. |
ya my evo2 is still not broken in  and when my evo3 broke it still had a lot of pinch, maybe cuz the piston is cnc idono.

Does anyone have any feedback on the following 3-port comparisons?
- STI vs O.S. TZ stock/modified - STI vs Mega .12 ZX/DSII - STI vs JP stock/modified - STI vs WASP Rev CRF I race on a 150' x 60' technical track with only one straight. I'm particularly interested in how the bottom end to mid range compares between the two engines. I'm looking for strong acceleration when exiting turns in the infield. Thanks in advance, Rainer |
