Go 3 port sport question, when removing shims for 20% which one should i remove? On the 3 port sport for 20% I would remove both brass just use the aluminum. Nick, I'll be watching for Uncle Fester dropping the motor off. Rex |

I am starting to get caught up from the 12 motors I had to rebuild. I am now charging $15.00 to retime a stock 5 port when bought new, nice thing is you can change it back. It will smooth out a stock 5 port on the bottom and give it more top end, pretty much makes it an awesome buggy motor.

I will be on vacation June 21 -27 any motors I get will be done the week after that.
I see some people have mailed piston and sleeves in the priority envelopes and boxes. The cheapest way is to send it in a padded envelope, probably under $2.00 from anywhere in the Us. Then I have a padded envelope to send it back in then! Rex |
Wow, good prices, I may just send my LRP 28 in for a rebuild after this gallon of fuel. Still has a little pinch left, and gobs of compression so better get it worked on soon. 6 gallons of driving does a lot to an engine. Especally when you factor in 1 gallon's worth of time in free- revving due to diff issues . May I "ask" (out of curiosity) in a nutshell what you do in the rebuild, i guess you just go through, find out what is worn, fix it up, re-pinch and ship out

I tear it down, mic the crank and I use a bore guage to check the conrod. I use a high pressure hot water cleaner to wash the motor and then check the bearings for smoothness and feel if they are loose. I clean the top of the piston and usually polish it up and use a stone and get the top of the sleeve flat. After I talk with the owner about what I feel needs to be replaced if anything I pinch if needed and do what needs to be done and ship it out.

I will also be attending the Roar Nats next week, I will be there for support for any Go engine users and feel free to come say hi and talk motors. I will be pitting indoors near the Kyosho team, my sone Kendall will be at this pit area.
