2090
2100
then 75 or 85mm manifold. The 85 gives more bottom end grunt. Some like 85 on truggy cause more bottom end power.
2090 gives more bottom then 2100 pipe.
Os pipes aren’t cheap and manifold bends easier due to soft metal.
I run a hipex 2135 L50 manifold on my drake I like the power band of it. Feels similar close to 2090. Pipe is stronger and cheaper. You can get the pipe from dialed hobbies.
I know maifield uses the flashpoint 2146 which I think might be the same thing as hipex 2135. Maxima makes a similar pipe so does jtp tebo store.
also another good pipe for good power is the ultimate 2141 interlock pipe from beach Rc.sometimes you can get coupon for 5 bucks or more off can get around 80 to 100 bucks
I’ve run it on drake engine and some other local guys run it on drake and others and they like it.

Anyone know how to tell the difference between a spec 3 and spec 2 case?
I got some engine parts from someone with a car and I think one was spec 2 one might of been spec 3 and other might of Been xzb not sure how to tell them apart. Anyone know.
I have a ty110 spec 2 and spec 3 and the cases from outside look similar I’m prob gonna open them up compare them but anyone know what to look for or if I can measure it somehow and figure it out. Thanks !

ty 110% is same thing as the flashpoint fp02 just ty has metal carb insert. Fp has plastic.
ty110% is on sale on amain tower horizon etc.
some people run the b2103 type r on truggy also. I noticed Dakotha phend Tlr pro has been using both of those engines on truggy.
A lot use 2090 for truggy but that 2141 and 2135 and2146 would work good on prob both them I would think,
85 mm os manifold on sale now for 30 bucks also but there not the strongest.

Its been almost 12-13 years since ive run that pipe but the way it just seems to work so well on so many engines is very similar to the 2135 . I think i ran the thunder tiger 2035 on a vzb vspec, go 7 port(orange head), n21bf hot mods, sh .25,and jammin jpx 21 and it did fairly well on most. I think it was originally designed to be a 3 chamber 053 style pipe but i could be wrong
from what i remember it was quite thick walled where the 2135 is thin like most hipex pipes. I still use the header that came with the ttr pipe as its 1mm or so longer than a ,nova 41021

Put in perspective with a back up engine:
2 XZB's=$640
2 S's=$960
3 XZB's=$960
2 AD2's=$1100
4 XZB's=$1280.
IMO, unless you get marshaled zero times per race, consistently, it's the best overall engine out there. Depends how often you run Nitro. Since all of my practice and club racing is electric now, engine life is waaay longer. So an AD2 and a XZB might make sense ($870).

Hey guys, hope someone can help me out here. I got a piston, sleeve and rod kit for a 21XZ-B at a very good price. I have a B2103 & B21 TY2 motor. Will this replacement kit work on one off these motors? The bore & stroke is the same as the B2103. What should I look at to know if it will work?

Unfortunately, the short answer is no.
Take a look at the two engine manuals/exploded views here. At the bottom of the page there is a discontinued engine link.
https://www.os-engines.co.jp/english...r/carindex.htm
You won't be able to use any of it in the B21 Ty2. I has different bore, stroke and a different rod.
As an experiment, you might be able to try to fit the piston and sleeve in the B2103 (not the rod). Keep in mind that the sleeve porting and case have changed and you may not be able to match them up, and if you do the mixture flow might not be optimal. You can't use the XZ-B rod, as it was longer in the original long stroke engines. The most recent lower CG engines use a shorter rod.

Hi Pete, thanks for the info. I didn't know about the ports that can cause issues. Just to make sure, why would the rod not work on the B2103. The part number is the same. The part number for the build up kit is 22423110. It is the Tessmann 110% parts.
