Hi,

The introductory price will be $54.99.

The stock JX-21 head button (part # JX02001) retails for $54.99 and typically sells for $46 on most online shops. With the EB JX-21 head button you will also get a shim kit. When you guys see the dyno graph the performance difference is amazing! You're basically getting a modified engine without touching the engine internals.

If anyone has a brand new JX-21 B01 or B01A and wants to trade in the "new, unused" stock head button, I will also offer a buy back program. I will not take used head buttons though, so sorry. Ed will not modify used head buttons.

These head buttons are brand new Mugen JX-21 (part # JX02001) head buttons purchased from Mugen USA and then sent to EB Mods for modification. The head buttons are milled down on a CNC machine. Ed modifies the squish band for optimal performance. You do not have to re-break in the engine when installing the new head button. as with any other engine change, I would recommend richening up both the LSN and HSN then re-tune for performance.

Best regards,

YES! they are all the same button JX, Speed, and V Spec. you will get great performance gains with Tony's EB button on any of those engines.

ok...so you have 1... shimming is VERY important when using this button.. you only need 1 shim. .004/1mm

Thanks

Shimming was going to be my next question...so its shimmed like the EB Spec, with one thin copper shim.

I still think that a dyno pull with the EB button/stock VSpec and Speed could be benificial...if it shows enough of a power gain, then those buttons will sell like hot cakes

Make sure you measure the shim. By eye the .004 could be confused with a .002 or .006 shim, and use a new one. Also inspect the button for any warping or detonation pitting. If you see any thing like that. Chuck it in the garbage , and buy a new one from Tony. Good Luck
Ps. Ed has so much data, I'm sure the button results from those engines are at his finger tip.

luckily for me, my button is NIP And I havent looked in a while, but think there is a shim in there. See, I got a deal on all the EB Spec parts a while back, but have never put the engine together...so Ive got a stock Spec and a Speed plus all the guts to build a EB Spec...I like OS

Thanks for the info on the shims...I didnt realize there were three different copper shims

Yes, Joe is correct the new EB Mod JX-21 head button uses just one .004" (0.1mm) copper shim and it is included with my head buttons.

where did you get the EB spec parts? I dont know of anyone selling head buttons other then Tony.. I know A main, and RC Compound had some stuff awhile back..the reason i ask is cause if you use a stock button thinking it's a EB your engine will go boom. lol
Are you sure you got ALL the EB guts? Some mods EASILY go unnoticed.
