Outerwears Filter Covers

I'm using the Outerwears and so far they're great. I ran probably 15 tanks before I checked the filters inside. The outer was dirty but not bad and the inner was clean as a whistle. I stretch mine onto the silverware rack in my dishwasher to clean. If it's got stubborn grime I use a little degreaser on the fabric only first.
I think I'll try some of the skin tight ones in the link. Always nice to have options.

Yep.. the ebay ones in the link above/below work better, because they have a sheen on the outside that deflects most everything except air istelf.

May i know any different on Filter Cover and Outerwears filter? I mean the protection.......Pls advise.

they have a plastic layer over top the end cap...that u have to cut a hole into and stretch it over when mounting....imo the outerwears are a Bitatch to install on and off and needing to swap filter's......i just recenty stopped using mine for that exact reason.

Hi Integra, please let us know your finding on which filter cover you prefer and recommad as I plan to get 1 too but still not sure which is worth for the money as both have a gap price between them

go for the Ebay one's first....there cheeper and imo WILL work better...the outerwears seems to only work on SLICK hardpack tracks with Zero Fluff on the sides and no dust.

Ya, the Ebay one fits the Losi without cutting holes in the end, because its an adjustable sleeve style one. But If you make the Losi clip hole in the end of the filter bigger by using a small drill bit, it makes rebuild much much easier. Just make the hole bigger then you can install normally.

I also found the same ebay one in the shop at Airland Hobbies. Those ebay ones are by far the best. Outerwears are ok, but the ebay one is cheaper, last longer, and just plain works better.

Here, I'll post the picture one more time for those ebay ones, this is how they work/look.

Guys I purchased one of the rc underground covers.
this is a must for everyone who hates to constantly clean and re-oil thier air filters.
I ran all day friday at wolcott raceway.approx. 10 tanks of fuel on a dry dusty track,
went back to the hotel cut off the zip ties and was waiting to see some dirt.
unfriggin believable the filter and outer filter looked like I just put it on,
my friend had to change his air filter every 2 tanks, thats how dusty it was.
just take the cover and blow it out you will see all the dust it will hold.
I purchased 4 more to cover all my vehicles.
