ok there you go guys straight from the master.

We all know theres only so many companies in the world capable of moulding Micro engines and be succesful, or has o'donnell invested huge amounts of cash to start producing their engines themselves. :)

Has anyone heard/seen anything new on this except an extended release date? Maybe February 30th?

jamminnay 12-08-2008 06:22 PM

i saw hartson running with this summer..they looked really tough. i thought they were supposed to be out in like september?? maybe it was next september?

rstnboy 12-08-2008 06:28 PM

I thought they were supposed to be out months ago but I have seen the release date pushed back month by month since March of this year. Tower lists a release date of late December now but...

jamminnay 12-08-2008 06:31 PM

i would not get to excited about it.. i thought steve said that the tires, motors, and pipes would be out next week.. he said that in july though?? not bashing just curious what the hold up is

I dont know how soon the motor will be out but it looks like most of the o'donnell guy's are still running OS.

In the RC world the word sport is a pseudonym for the word slow!

Sport pipes=slow
Sport engines=slow
sport buggies=slow

If the factories are stupid enough to use the word sport, they are admitting it's slow!

How many Sport Novarossi's do you see?
Have you ever seen a sport Sirio?

Some companies use totally different names for their engines just to avoid the word sport.

I can tell you that this "SPORT" engine was the fastest engine at the RC Pro Series Finals this year. It was screaming down the straight aways.

I can't wait to see it, hear it, try it...Just wish they wouldn't call it sport!

Yes I agree, I can see where they were going with the SS thing but it still has the word sport in it so it will be mistaken for until it gets some recognition. I am curious about it myself.

Hey guys just wanted to fill you in a lil on the OD Engine..... In the beginning this engine was meant to be a strong reliable, high quality RTR engine for racers just getting into the sport.... hence why its called .21 SS. However in the last yr with all the testing and racing that was done, this engine is by far comparable if not better than any 500 dollar race engine in performance and reliability ..... It has the smoothest power band, very comparable to the speed and never quits on the straight stretch with great run time! Ten minutes is no problem with this engine....... We have engines with over ten gallons on them that still run strong, all the engines we have ran have not had a single failure on them. It is very nice to race and never have to worry about making run time or flaming out in the back of your head. lol As far as i know they are very close to releasing the engine very soon but Steve will not release a product that is not absolutely perfect which is why it is taking a little time.... It will definitely be worth the wait! Ask anyone that was in Texas for the pro finals, Revelation raceway for the Kyosho race or thunder alley, if we were ever out motored...... a lot of people are amazed by the performance of these engines. :)
