I have the Blast. Same motor but the P3TT has the new carb and no DLC crank. Solid motor. Good bottom and top with REDS 2104 pipe. Picco 2133 makes it a monster on top and bottom. With the 2104 and AMR back plate i can do 10 min. About 9 without the AMR back plate.
Can't speak for new carb but old carb is responsive to tune and holds tune well.

Default Picco 3TT

Hi

My son has one of these engines. It had an oil bath break and we heat cycled it at our local park to complete the break in process. We have done a couple of race meetings with it running fairly rich and the engine has plenty of power. He was pitting at 7 mins and there was still some fuel left in the tank so I would guess that 7.5 to 8 mins is where it is at at the moment with it still being rich.He is running it with a Picco exhaust and Picco P5 glow plugs.

Tuning wise it has been fairly easy to tune and it to returns to a nice steady idle. The only thing I would say on this is the idle screw seems a little spongy in that when you turn it it has tendency to recoil a ;little back in the direction you turned it from. I assume that this is because the seals are still very tight.

There is another chap at the track who has been running one of these engines and has had a couple of gallons through it so far. Seeing his engine perform was one of the reasons my son purchased his. The last time we raced he was hitting 42s laps, which is race winning pace at our club track.I think he ended up finishing 5th overall on the day. Considering these cost £200 in the UK with OS's costing almost double that price I am really impressed with what I have seen so far..

We are back racing this weekend and I will try and remember to drop an update back in the post..

Default Picco 3TT

Hi

I thought I would update the thread with the results of the last two races, and, a couple of practice sessions that we had. I had the engine in my car, a Losi 8ight 4.0 as my lad was trying an FX The longest that we ran it for was 11 minutes, but, it was on fumes. At 10 minutes there was still fuel in the tank and if I was racing with it I would be looking for 10 minute pit stops with it

I have been impressed enough to buy one myself.

I ran the p3tt with the reds 2104 pipe s header. Good fuel mileage. Went a full 8 minutes in my buggy, was on fumes and was pushing pretty hard to catchup. on another note. I have the previous blast blue head from last year.. broke in this year. Ran it in my Truggy with the reds 2143 pipe M header. The Truggy went 8 minutes and still have another 2 minutes easy left in the tank. With the 2143. I was getting about the same when I ran that engine in buggy. I'm getting another 2143 red's pipe and going to run it on the p3tt and see how much more mileage I can get with out lowering the power. The 2104 made the p3tt very smooth. The 2104 is supposed to be less bottom end more speed. I did notice it from the other pipes and picco's I have ran but the p3tt was not lacking anywhere. Pulled away from everyone out of a corner on the straight and made all of the jumps.

2166 looks like a REDS 2104 front and Reds 2143 rear half

Or

Picco 2099 and picco 2133 rear half

Same thing...
