Bones Brew! Good stuff. Good price.

S&W. Been using it for well over 15 years. Top notch ingredients. You won't be disappointed

Fuel

I've heard good things about Bones Brew but nobody carries it locally. Fuel is expensive enough without paying shipping. What I run is going to be determined by what I can get locally. I like Sidewinder but my local hobby shop cant get an order in.

Yes this news came as a surprise to me. When I first started nitro racing everyone was either running Blue Thunder, Byrons, or a local blend called Rocket Science. Byrons was around a long time and very popular. Its to bad but lets face it, i feel the rc hobby industry is hurting right now. Not sure how many more of these announcements we will see in the future.

I am just getting back into nitro after being away for 20 years. I just ran a gallon of VP power master 30% with 9% oil in m Nova p5xlt - it was all fine and well..except it runs $60CAD + tax?! My LHS has Omega 25% with 17% oil for $38 - I think I am going to switch to this - I am not shooting for pole, nor am I searching for that extra 10th off my lap times...just looking to be a consistent driver - anybody think that this switch will make a huge difference ? Any experience with Omega 25%?

17% oil is too much

on bones site 3 gallons shipped in quart bottles comes out to like 32 a gallon. Not a bad deal shipped to house.

X2 on the S%W. Good stuff.

Cheers Roelof - I am a little upset that my LHS actually sold me the 17% oil containing fuel after telling them I was going to run in my Nova buggy engine - once I arrived at the track the folks there stopped me immediately after I ran a single tank and explained the oil situation. Makes total sense that high oil is for plane and heli considering the throttle is always open and thus the oil is expelled...obviously not the case for buggy - my fault for not looking into it deep enough but still...LHS should know better

It is a common problem, over here in Holland many stories where people have bought fuel at a local LHS an have got a plane fuel. Many people complaining about bad performance of Modeltechnics fuel but after some research it always came out it was a plane fuel.

Basically more oil does not do any harm but it will lower the performance and can cause issues with a stable idle. If you can not exchange the fuel you will have a break in fuel ;)

Thats a great deal,I have been using Byrons for 10 plus years but going to make the switch to Bones .12 quarts free shipping is the deal.
