Default OS 21XZ-B VII

Can anyone tell me what the difference is compared to the higher spec 2 OS motors? Looking for good motors for 1/8 buggy for my two boys would this work well for that application.

The spec to speed has a dlc coated crank and better carb with a mid speed needle where the engine your talking about does not have a mid speed needle. I have both engines and really like the version 2, the crank is just steel tho so wears out quicker, I believe the version 2 blue head has more power then the speed by a tiny amount u will probably never notice. The engine is great it just doesn’t have the dlc crank that can last if u rebuild the engine multiple times.

Drake give some in depth overview.

My son has run this motor, and overall its a very forgiving motor, i.e. good fuel mileage, easy to tune, and hold a tune. Plenty of power, without breaking the bank!
