Default Losi 8ight won't start wheels dont disengage

I have a Losi 8ight RTR. When I try to start it the wheels start spinning. I think it is a clutch problem but I'm not sure. Any help would be nice . Thanks Mike

You're probably right. Take the engine off and remove the clutch bell. You'll likely see either the clutch shoes/springs are somehow dragging the bell OR a bearing have seized and did a number on the crankshaft as well.

Thanks, I was getting ready to remove engine and clutch. I will follow up with what I find.

Sounds like a similar issue to what happened to me a couple months ago. Check the clutchbell bearings, mine exploded and wouldn’t disengage the clutch from the engine

Likely a clutch spring that broke. Replace the clutch bearings while you’re at it.
