Default Truggy motor advice.

Need advice on what engine I should run in my truggy for tight indoor track. Currently have a JP mod vspec with 2050 pipe and need more punch in the infield, not worried about top end. Would also like to keep the cost below $300 with pipe if the 2050 won't work well. I'm only going to be running this track for a few months before we go back outdoors so I don't want to invest a lot of $$.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Awwwwe youre so sweet TW , ty bro

P5xlt w/ silicone filled crank and houston tuned will be under 300$ but not with pipe and that pipe is HORRIBLE on novarossi engines.

Tell ya what , I will throw in a dynamite 053mr with the engine for nothing , you can use your header from the 2050 pipeset , it'll work great

just switch pipes- Werks/ Orion 2013 packs the punch. Buy a new pipe and clutch and you're set

Thanks for the info. Is there a website for HES? Tried 1.1 springs and it was better but still lacked torque.

I'm sure it's low on compression. It has a few gallons on it and could use a rebuild.

A friend of mine has a new JP P5 I can pick up for $175 so I might try that.

If your looking for a killer motor, I would recommend taking a look at clockwork racing. Neil and John have a killer selection their able to tailor your motor to your needs. Give Neil a ring or email just to talk even if you don't buy anything he can explain the differences between quality and performance while keeping your budget in mind. Also his mills have fantastic run time there's a lot of variable to insure proper times but his mills make it almost idiot proof (10 min mile club) while on the right pipe selection.

Werks B5 has a ton of power with a 2013 pipe.
