Default Best Budget friendly Nitro Truggy Engine/Pipe

Looking for a budget Friendly Engine/pipe setup for a NT48.3

Currently looking at the Nova P5XLT and the ROMA.25... though i have no idea what pipes would go with those...

also heard good things about the Flash point FP01 engine since its based off OS
(https://www.amainhobbies.com/flash-p...pr2502/p775723)

would that work good in a truggy?

Budget is about 400 ish at the top end for an engine/pipe...

I can also get a Blok truggy engine fairly cheap, however id have to wait about 2 weeks to be able to afford the pipe, would that just be the better choice?

Im still fairly new to nitro, so im looking for something that will hold a tune well, and i hear OS Based engines and Nova are the 2 best. i also think the Blok engine is OS based, but unsure...

any advice?

Roma .25, 41032 manifold and 9886SS pipe if you want all out nutty power capability. Otherwise any Nova .21 will do the trick and I’d still suggest the same header and manifold. If you want a neutered cat with no eyes, 2 legs, and half a tail, put a 41021 manifold on it.

Just the two cents Uncle Sam hasn’t gotten from me.

The P5XLT is a great motor, i had used it in my Truggy. It is super reliable, easy to tune, gets good fuel economy even in a Truggy. And best of all, spares wont break the Bank. I used the 51016 pipe. You can not go wrong with the P5XLT.

Thatís what engine I have in my 8T. It just doesnít have the nutty power a .25 or .28 has. I tend to favor short stroke engines because of their uncanny ability to rev. I would amend my last post to suggest trying a Novarossi BX3 and use the 41031 manifold instead.

IMO the rolling is the best cheap truck motor ive ran, 41001 header with the 9901 7mm restrictor
ill be giving montys fusion x5 a go this season, he can definitely hook you up with a combo for around that budget. he won intermediate truggy with the x5 at the nitro challenge this year and was doing 10 min pitstops.
Ive also got the "power" blok engine to run as backup if needed, ill be running a hipex pipe on it cant bring myself to spend the $ for the os branded pipes that im pretty sure are made by hipex

The rolling is an extra long stroke and the BX3 is a short stroke. Completely different animals with the same price tag.

I would go with the Roma. You will never want more power than that.
