Default Need help identifying an engine

Looks like a vintage Picco, way before my time. Interesting carb, and what's missing from the backplate? Anyone know what it is? Btw these are screenshots, it's not in my hands to inspect.

Hello timjs,

I would guess that the missing part on the backplate is a 90 Nipple that can be connected with Silicone tubing to the neck of the Carburator base just like OS and Novarossi with Boost Chamber back in late 90's

Cheers..

Thanks for the replies guys!
I went ahead and bought it (ebay). I'm eager to see how the oldies compare to modern stuff.

Alllright after EXTENSIVE google work,
it's a Picco P21ES. I found a website that has archived RC Car Action magazine May 1999. The project vehicle was a dual engine USA-1 with two of these. So cool!!
Theres another one of these engines NIB on ebay right now but it doesn't have the engraving that mine has on the mounting lug. I'm wondering if this is a Paris modified P21ES.. can't wait to run it!

I used to have an OS 21RZ that had the booster port. Ran like a beast!!
I think your engine may just be one of the Ron Paris modified engines, but I also remember some having a RP prefix on them also...…..
