Ceramic Bearings for 1/8 nitro
looking at getting into some good bearings for the Mugen mbx8 and the 8ight T 4.0. Any advise or pros and cons to them? Mostly are the ceramic bearings worth the money for nitro? |

Ceramics also go bad when dirt is comming inside the bearing.....
It is your money but a lot of people do swear with just simple steel bearings because ceramics do not add that much value for the high price. |

I'm guessing most of the possible performance gains are from weight reduction of the chassi, for those chasing every last bit.
If you want it to spin more freely just de-grease them and apply some thin oil, that does make a little difference. But sure, I run ceramics for the diffs sometimes. Closer to the wheels they spin so slow that it makes less sens, and usually more dirt gets in there too. :) |
I myself have never had an issue with dollar bearings.. Avid for the win.....

ceramic bearings are lighter, stronger and less friction = less heat. They will last longer im sure.
If you can afford them get them. :tire::tire::tire::tire: |
