Default 18% -20% nitro fuel

quick question does anyone else beside me run lower than 30% nitro in buggy for a softer bottom and more runtime? Iíve been running 18% to 20%........ and a few I race with would never consider it.

people dont consider this because the manfs say 25-30 normally for race engines.

also people will buy a new engine or the next big thing because it makes .00005 more HP so they can state "more power then last gen"

You are not alone! I picked up 6 gallons of Byronís 25% from a local guy and never looked back. I get better run times and what feels like a smoother power band with 25%.

I also dropping down to 25% from 30% has not impacted my race results. Still lower A or high B mains for me.

To beat on a dead horse some more, a lot of the fuels doesn't have the nitro in them that you think anyhow. I've tested fuel mixes to compare it against some of the big fuel mfg, even added nitro to see if it compares with the same fuel of higher nitro content and it doesn't. I don't have a spectrometer so take it for what it is.
In buggy you usually don't need every bit of power so nitro isn't that critical, getting a good oil package though will have an impact no matter the amount of nitro.

I have no idea. Pick a fuel that you like or mix your own.
