I know glow plug leads are not very expensive, but here's a simple fix that only costs pennies !
after a while the lead can become split & expose the wire, instead of throwing it away simply cut a piece of 'heat-shrink' sleaving to required length, slide over the lead & heat to stay in place, simple & good as new again, Heat-Shrink sleaving is available from DIY stores or on-line, I bought a pack of 200 assorted sizes for about 6, I use it a lot on other electrical models I make.
