OS B21 DRAKE OR B21 TY?

Trying to decide between these two engines? What's the differences?

Andyg01 02-21-2018 03:11 AM

The Ty motor is a B2101 square stroke - lots of info on here already.

no one really knows, its just released. Wait a month or two and i am shure someone has copared the two.

The ty engine is a smooth buggy engine, adams engine has more power. Adam talks about his engine having more power but he’s able to achieve better fuel efficiency not having to stab it everywhere.

My opinion is the Adam drake engine has more tuning ability having power you can tune too, I like that.

I saw both perform at DNC. both were reliable but Drake engine had some serious straight speed. He pulled away from several drivers on t he long DNC straight.

Is the engine that Drake was running the same as the comercial version?

Adam Drake 03-07-2018 10:52 AM

Yes, I was running a production B21 Adam Drake engine at DNC.

He has a video describing the engine on youtube right now...its a b2101 with an extra tungsten slug in the crank. Longer stroked crank and some diffrent porting and a spec 3 head...good video check it out.
