Welcome to the NORA RC OnRoad & Carpet Oval Thread. We will use this forum for the 2017-18 Winter season and beyond. This thread will be all things for NORA RC for both OnRoad & Carpet Oval 
Announcement ** 8/29/2018 **
THE NORA INDOOR PROGRAM IS HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE WE WILL BE GETTING NEW CRC FAST TRACK II BLACK CARPET FOR THE 2018-2019 INDOOR SEASON. A VERY SUCCESSFUL YEAR AT NORA HAS LED US TO MANY IMPROVEMENTS ACROSS OUR ENTIRE CLUB. IT IS GOING TO BE A GREAT YEAR AT NORA.
ONROAD KICKS OF THE SEASON WITH A WARM-UP RACE ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 6TH.
CARPET OVAL KICKS OFF THE SEASON FRIDAY OCTOBER 12TH.
PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE FOLLOWING DATES:
DECEMBER 2ND (SUNDAY) - 4.5 HOUR VTA - SCALE SPEC ENDURO
JANUARY 11TH & 12TH - WEST COAST CARPET OVAL NATIONALS: NW CARPET OVAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
FEBRUARY 16TH & 17TH - ROAR REGION 11 ONROAD CARPET CHAMPIONSHIPS @ NORA

On-Road... October 7th!!!!
We are kicking of the NORA 2017-18 Indoor Race Season this Saturday (October 7th)... With a non points On-Road club race. Door Open at 9am. Racing begins at 11:30am.
Friday, October 13th... we will run a non-points Carpet Oval race with a swap and sell also.
Please bring your chairs, powerstrips and a 6 ft extension cord.... We have a lot of tables but no chairs... IF you want to sit... bring a folding chair. Plenty of tables available for pitspace on site already.
We are doing a membership drive Saturday... Member renewals are do for indoor season... we will offer membership at $20... and give you your first class for $10 with a membership purchase and $5 each additional class. This is for a limited time... Only offered Oct 7th and Oct 13th during our nonpoints races.
We are also asking you all to participate in our RC Swap and Sell... If you want to buy or sell something this weekend we are hosting an old fashion RC Swap meet... So bring cash in case you see a good deal of something you need or bring that gently used RC car or electronics you wish to sell to someone who can use it.

I will be stopping in to check it out this Saturday. I hope to race in the first points race. If I like what I see will there be somebody there to take my money and make me a member?

Carpet Oval Begins Tomorrow!!! Oct 13th
Some of you have been asking about practice tomorrow before Carpet Oval racing.
Doors will be open to the public at 3pm at the Fairgrounds.
Cars can begin practicing at 4pm (track will be close for maintenance prior to 4pm). Practice will be from 4pm to around 7pm. We will have a drivers meeting and racing will start at 7:30pm. If you have something to Sell to the club bring it out.
Indoor Membership renewals are due. We will have a membership drive this week. Anyone who purchases or renews a membership will get their first class for $10 (tomorrow only)... If you already have a membership normal club rates will apply.
Remember to bring chairs and power strips... Pit mats and Lipo sacks are mandatory... Please have them with you.... Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Teams of 3 or more. 4 hours of racing. 90 min light / 90 minutes dark / 90 Dark / 60 minutes light.
$60 per team.
Awards for top 3 teams.

Please enter early so we can plan ahead for this Awesome Event

A heads up for those who may have been wondering. There will be no Wednesday practice dates scheduled for Oval or OnRoad at NORA for at this time.
Friday the track will be open by 3pm for Carpet Oval practice.
Saturday Morning the doors will be Open at 9am for OnRoad.
There is a club meeting this Tuesday. After a busy couple of weeks getting the club ready for Indoor and also with OffRoad winding down... We are giving our volunteers a break for a few weeks so they can work on their cars and put their feet up for a few days... so there will be no weekday practice sessions until further notice.
See you all at the track on Friday and Saturday at the races :-)
