Welcome everyone to the NORA 2015/16 Road Course thread. This is season is shaping up to be a great one. As you can see above the we have added a $5 Wednesday practice night for road course.
We have adopted the Northwest Rules package that Seattle RC Racers were so kind to develop for us. NORA's only tweak to them is we have multiple tire options for touring car classes so please read through the rules carefully.
Also as many of you are aware the HPI-d compound tire is not the only tire allowed in scale spec any longer. The Gravity USGT premount tire is now approved for scale spec which will be a huge price savings per set of tires and no more gluing!!
Tires for both touring car and scale spec will be available track-side for purchase (prices to be determined).

F1 is on the regular race schedule this season and the class will run the same race day and schedule as all other classes. Unfortunately the F1 series didn't have enough participation last season to warrant a seperate series. So please come race F1 at NORA! See you all soon.

Oh boy! what a downer and we have not even started

Last winter we had a shortage of F-1 cars because the class was not run at Magnuson and people where not contemplating the class anywhere else, until John opened the doors to put it up at NORA.

This winter we help propelled the class back at Magnuson with a letter I sent to their directive including 16 names of drivers who ran F=1 at Galaxy / TCS all summer and wanted to have a venue to go to for winter. So we have 16 drivers for the winter season.

I was talking to the guys of doing maybe two or three F-1 format races over the winter at NORA. Using the same format we tested last year so the regular club program is not disturbed. We can do three 15 minute races in the morning between open practice time + a 3 minute Q. The club makes more money, and most people stay also for the club race (I was considering running sedan scale spec as my second class)

Just a thought,

Be well.

Its lots of fun + 2 pit stops. Once you've done it a 6 minute race seems just to short. BTW Gas dudes run for hours or more.
Ova Are you still selling your F-1? Hope not.

Be well

Sorry but part of our structure is having 2+ hours of open practice for for everyone. Last year we adjusted our schedule for the f1 series and it didn't pan out for us. But we did add it to the regular race format schedule for this season. So please com out and enjoy 2 heats and 1 main like all the other classes.
