NCRL (Northern California Racing League)

Welcome to (NCRL) Northern California Racing League. Our goal is to bring together R/C racers from all over Northern California to compete in a series of events to showcase their skills and see who can be the most versatile competing at different venues. We are looking to bring new ideas and formats to these events to elevate the level of racing and entertainment. The events will be run by Codey Hughey, Jeremy Hardesty and Kevin Jelich. We have all been racing and or working in the industry for many years now and hope to bring some of our passion for R/C racing to the top tracks in Northern California.

NCRL presents its first series, the “Indoor Triple Crown Series”. This will be a three race series at three of the best indoor facilities Nor-Cal has to offer, LSR Raceway in Sacramento, Outback Raceway in Chico and Nor-Cal hobbies in San Jose. These races will all be four rounds of heads up “Reedy Format” racing. We will take one throw out each day to take your best 9 of 12 runs. You must attend all three races to be in contention for the crown. The winners will be crowned at the final race at Nor-Cal hobbies on May 16th. Plaques will be awarded to the top 5 in each class. This race will be a must attend for top drivers in Northern California and sure to bring out the who’s who of R/C racing, not to mention an exciting event to watch!

Doors will open on Saturday at 6am with three hours of controlled practice. Drivers meeting at 9am and racing will start promptly at 9:30. Race fees are 30$ for the first class and 20$ for all classes after. Signups will be done the day of the event and will close at 8:30am. If you will be late please call ahead to get your entry in. All three tracks will still be running their regular scheduled Friday night program, so come on out and get your early practice in on Friday!
This will be the start of many more series to come. As we move into the summer we will have many more tracks to incorporate with an array of different surfaces. We look forward to seeing who will be the first to be crowned as the “Triple Crown Champion”!

Any questions feel free to contact myself, Codey Hughey or Kevin Jelich

How similar are the racing surfaces of these 3 tracks? I've only been to Outback so I was just curious?

They are all hard packed clay tracks usually using a dirtweb or electron type tire, clay compound
