Reminder, racing is next Monday, January 23rd at Roundtable. We will be running round 1 of the series for HFAY.

We had a super turn out last week, totaling 11 racers including a couple new folks.

Fun filled packed night with even some fpv on our cars. The second picture Blaine said this is more what Portland traffic looks like. haha lol, pretty true at times.

See you next week, Ty

Super night of HFAY racing last night. Lots of head to head battles. 9 entrants for our Stock class and 2 for Mod. Bob continues his lead from winning last season taking 1st in both Mod races, while Mo took 1st for both Stock races. It's going to be a great season. Your times and national placements will be posted the first week of February. This keeps from some clubs getting an advantage knowing someone else times.

Next race day is Monday, February 6th at Roundtable Barbur. Regular fun club racing that night. The next HFAY race will be Feb 20th also at Roundtable Barbur.

For more info on the club, cars, set up, and more, visit www.pdxminiz.com.

Make sure you are looking at season 23. PDX Mini z has some work to do, but the season is long, and we get 2 drops.

I traveled all over Asia and was always jealous of how every where i went there was always a Mini-z organize club in the middle of a dense city, on the 5th floor of some office building with no signs to the outside world what was going on.

This is awesome that I found a local club at home running mini-z's.

couple of newbie questions for somebody looking to enter this underground mini z racing.

1. Looking for a Mini-Z MR-03s Sports model, how can you tell which exact model offers the Mid motor mount? I tried looking on kyoshos site but could not tell which models offer what type of motor mounting.

Koontek

Look at Amain Performance Hobbies. They have all the correct photos for the MidMount (MM) and RearMount (RM) bodies/chassis.

You want something similar to the LaFerrari, Enzo, HSV, SC430, NSX, Ferrari 458, which are all MidMount, but not Mazda Miata, Toyota Trueno, Subaru BRZ which are all RM body/chassis

Check Amain Performance Hobbies site. Search "kyosho sports racer" There are a bunch of MR03 Sports ReadySets with chassis+body+controller and you can see which ones have the MidMount (MM) motor mount. Hope this helps you out.

The mini-z-guide.com website has a bodies section which says which bodies have which motor mount.

I can't post a link directly to it since I haven't posted enough on there. But if you were using the pdx miniz website, I added a link in the pick a car section.

Super racing last night in Rd 2 of HFAY. Mo wins both stock races. Bob splits with Mo for mod wins. Close racing divides the rest of the field by very few laps. Ty and Blaine both with a 2nd place and a 4th place switching positions alternate races. Ken and Andrew battled for 5th. And Kevin improving all the time. Great job everyone. And it's anyone's series to have. With 4 of 10 races in, there's lots to come. Next racing March 6, Next HFAY March 20.

Racing, tomorrow night at Roundtable Pizza, Barbur.

This is a normal club night, NOT HFAY points series. However, we will be running the next HFAY track. Here's the track, How Fast Are You? but tomorrow it's with a twist. We are bringing back the bridge. It will be placed on the straight stretch a couple different locations providing for some technical driving. It should be interesting to see who can keep it on 4 wheels and get the fastest laps and race wins.

Set up at 5:30, racing soon after.

Next HFAY Point series racing on March 20.

Super racing last night. Notables: Bob stole the night with wins in all 4 mains (2 stock, 2 mod), but only by 1 or 2 laps in stock, a few more in mod. Ty took 2nd in the 2 stock mains, beating Paul by .7 seconds and .6 faster than Blaine in the second one. Great to see Paul back after some time away, and he's still fast. We were missing Mo with his new work location build. Great job everybody. Close racing all the way around made for great fun. Local points scoring will be posted soon.
