I've been thinking about last night, and it was so nice to see someone show up with a car in a box and people just helped him out. Not one person complained when we pushed back the start of the race so he could get set up. Tom jumped right in and helped Jeff out, and Mo had a transponder there for him to use.

It was nice that no one complained as he was new and learning. It's the right spirit, no novice, just throw down and run.

The layout was expanded with the help of Kyosho sending extra track. Kyle drove the track back from the last location and he didn't even race. He set up the track too.

This is really the type of club thing, Mo and I had envisioned when Mo had the idea of starting this. If it wasn't for Mo, this would not be going.

Great work everyone, looking forward to the next race on Monday the 29th at 7. Track opens at 5.

If people want to do an open practice for a few hours on Sunday let me know. If there are enough people that want to practice, I can come down and open up for a couple hours.

That was pretty awesome to witness that! Everyone introduced themselves and made new people feel welcome to join in the fun. Tom is missed as a shop owner in this town for sure. Also awesome that any and all contact is always meet with laughter, guys just cracking up while racing little RC cars.

There is another thread on RCTech titled "Why is the RC hobby not growing" Well it is mostly due to people not acting like this at the track. This is the type of RC racing I want to do. The kind does not matter much just the people you race with. I should be ready to race by the end of the year....

So Kevin, Tom and I have been tossing around the idea of adding
an F1 class. Let us know if anyone would like to entertain this idea with us??
If we can get 3,4 or more cars I think it could be a blast.

Just saying...

Post Xmas Holiday race is this Monday night at 7! Track opens at 5. Everyone leaves with my left over candy from Xmas. Please take it away, as I am fat enough.

Let's have a big turnout, and have some fun. The track is bigger thanks to Kyosho for donating some track to the club!!!

Did I say there will be candy?!
