I stopped by Briefly and hung out for a bit. Thanks to Del and to Moe for letting me run a few laps.

-It DEFINITELY requires a bit more attention
-These don't have the same kind of response as their 1:10th counterparts
-With a few "changes" these things will RIP!
-I heard more laughing and apologies than I heard racing 1/10th racing
-Plastic "Hard bodies" are definitely LOUDER when they make contact.

I had a blast racing around the track. The idea was thrown out to try some elevation changes, but I think that's further down the road. Even though the track is expanded its still "small" IMO, but at the same time, the layout is technical enough to keep everyone on their toes.

Can't wait to see the progression! NOW, if only I could sell some stuff to make up the extra $$ needed for a CAR!

Bearings - PN Racing dry bearing set Part# 600129
Lube - PN Racing 2in1 com/bearing/bushing lube Part# 700801
Batteries - PN Racing Part# CP888 or Peak Part# PEK00580
The Grand total for all of the above is a whopping $35

That will get your car hooked up and corning very well. If you want to do a
motor upgrade use the PN Racing official stock motor Part# 110670 ($10)

Remember to take good care of your batteries, discharge down to Cut off voltage: 0.9V before charging. (Dont discharge all the way and dont store discharged)
Take good care of your motor. Break it in and lube the bushings before using, clean it after using.

I will continue to do R&D and will try my best to help anyone in anyway.

This was just the first layout, there are way more technical ones, plus adding more track is a plan in the future.

Be fun to see how fast we go with some set up

Is there a Tebo Mini Z set-up somewhere to start with?

First you have to get a rig, then you can worry about set ups

We need the Tommy set up

--Mini-Z Monday--

The First PDX Mini-Z Race Club club race is almost here.

Monday November 3rd....

Set up and practice starts at 5

Racing starts at 7

I will be serving my wife's famous pulled pork sliders and slaw.

We should be good on tables and chairs but if you have an extra bring it
just in case. If you don't have a transponder yet come out anyway, we can
run a heat of cars without transponders.

See you Monday!!!

Just wanted to share this with everyone.

Kyosho America is stoked we started a Mini-Z chapter in the Portland/Northwest region. They have allowed the club to purchase some cars and some peak batteries to sell at the races to help grow the club. They are the MR-03 sport just like the cars we all have. The cost will be $150 for the car and $8 for a 4 pack of 900hv AAA racing batteries. all profit will go towards the club. I see a track expansion in the near future....

The club will have this bad boy for sell on Monday.
-Ferrari 458-

PDX Mini Z Racing Club-fullsizerender2.jpg

If you want this car PM me or bring cash on Monday.

We will have a couple race ready cars available in the near future that will include everything you need for race day. Transponder, tires, batteries and car.

Cars on order are.
-Lamborghini murcielago
-Audi R8
-Ferrari 458
-Austin Martin.

If you would like to hold one of these PM me asap.

See you all Monday...

I'll be there for practice tomorrow

I'm assuming my transponder will be there, correct?

Super fun racing guys.

Tommy wanted info on the charger we had ... it's this one:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Works great for $35 shipped. Charges up to 1 amp, discharges up to .5 amps. Even measures IR ... although not sure why I would need that. Figure this and then one of those trays with my 1/10 charger and we should be dialed for running 2 cars.

Would love more reports on tips/tricks people are finding to work.

Thanks for the charger info, John.

OMG MINI Z!!!!!

Just wanted to remind anyone that may still be on the fence about these: We are racing BOX STOCK RTR Mini Z's with their included controllers and store bought(or rechargeable) aaa batteries. By far the cheapest rc car I've raced. We've all got the same MR-03s car kit with whatever body we like most. If you'd like, you could spend $20 in tires and bearings, but not needed to be competitive. I still have bushings and stock tires! Practice is EVERYTHING.
On the fence? Pull the trigger and come race!

Mini-Z Monday rocks!!

Great first club race. Good times, good people, good food and good battles. Thanks to Kevin for letting us invade his sweet studio. I totally agree with Tommy. For about $200 you get a lot of bang in a little package. These cars are amazing and the drive-ability is great. The club will have some race ready packages at the next race for a ripping deal. PM me and join in the fun.

So we are thinking Monday Nov. 17th for the next club race. Let me know if that works for everybody. We will have the Steelers Titans game on as well...
